According to Jayalalitha a song in Kuruvi teases freedom fighter Thillaiyaadi Valliammai.

In her special statement to the press on the content of the song of the movie, Jaya condemns Kuruvi team for having the words abusing the freedom fighter.

She says that Kuruvi team might have avoided such objectionable contents before the release of the songs and its very bad removing the objectionable contents only after receiving general opposition for the same. Lyricist might have penned down the lyrics with caution and saying sorry after receiving condemns is not justifiable.

Jaya adds "It is shame to understand the mindset of the team and it has to be dealt with severe punishment."
